FOREVER SUMMER
May to August, 2012

Dear reader,

FOREVER SUMMER is a loosely set up program around some issues that keep asking the attention of Walden Affairs. Does our society offer any real space for autonomy and self-determination? Does our time ask for conformism, engagement or perhaps the foundation of own cultural zones? Are we buried underneath a collapsing economic system or is this just the beginning of a bright new future?

FOREVER SUMMER offers a small scale program in which we choose for a light, playful approach of these questions – an approach that aims to remain close to our own personal experience. We will travel, will show movies and invite people to talk. We will visit people and places that inspire or amaze us. We will make our own drinks, build our own bar, have a trip through the canals of the city. Consumption, reflection, participation and dialogue go hand in hand in an open program that doesn't aim to provide clear solutions or conclusions, but instead offers the participants an opportunity to forget time and enjoy.

Get out of your chair. Turn off your mobile. Get offline. Put away your work. And join us!

Yours,
Joost, Sara and Mischa
